What's in my bag? | Spring edition

I know I haven't really posted on my blog in about a month now I am super sorry for that, but I have just been so busy recently with the new puppy coming home, my job & I've just been feeling blue, but I am here now with a fresh new blog post for you lovely readers.

Although some days it feels like it's still one of those winter days when you don't know whether to throw on a jumper or a shirt, it is in fact actually spring. I carry a lot in my bag when I'm out and about so I just thought I'd share with you what's in my bag this spring.

First things first, every girl has a purse it's another fashion excuse really isn't it? My purse is just a simple patient nude purse from Primark, it has 3 sections, one for cards one for notes and a separate section for coins, it's always essential to have money in hand just in case for an urgent taxi ride or bus ride. Not only that its great for holding keepsakes, I keep a photo in mine just to look at and smile at when I open my purse.

Keys, I've gone through sets of keys like I don't know what because I am absolutely useless when it comes to keeping keys... but since we got the locks changed I've done great keeping them so fingers crossed it stays that way. But these are essential & also car keys if you drive, no doubt I'll be useless with those when I get a car.

My phone, everyone these days has a phone, I have the iPhone 5c in white and it goes with me everywhere. Phones, the internet in general have just become a part of everyday human life, it's how we communicate from parts of the world to another part of the world, in some ways its a good thing and in other ways it can be bad. But my phone is my life and I cant imagine life without the internet, it's a great thing for when I'm out and my family want to get in touch with me.

I carry my headphones, because I can't go on a train or a bus without these, I have to take them everywhere with me just to listen to music on the go.

Maybe I use too much twitter or I read blogs too much but my battery dies pretty quickly so always carry my phone charger, I keep thinking about investing in a battery pack but I can't find one that I thinks worth the money, so for now I just carry my cable and plug.

I like to take a few basic hair products with me on the go, especially when I know i'm going to be outside for the majority of the time & this products include a tangle teaser, these are amazing and I totally recommend to anyone even if you have curly or straight hair, these are the best & I also think they're reasonably priced & it's really cool that you can get all those cool prints too.

I also like to carry my dry shampoo, everyone's had that day when they cannot be bothered to wash their hair, so I just like to carry this in my bag for as and when I need, its the Batiste Dry shampoo in the 'Blush' fragrance, I really like it, but I feel that sometimes it's a little bit too powdery, it is the travel version which is awesome for carrying round in your bag and I think the price is just short of £1.50.

And the last product I carry for my hair is my hairspray, it is the Elnett satin by L'Oreal Paris, it's my favourite hair spray of all time & I just think hair spray is a must for long day trips just to get the flyaway hairs, it smells amazing and it is once again the mini travel version, which was £1.50 when I got this.

Now the 3 basic makeup essentials are a must for me, I carry them everywhere
they include concealer, powder & whatever lip product is my favourite at that time, just for top ups such as if your skin becomes oily throughout the day you can powder it over & for breakouts concealer is the number one for helping to cover unwanted blemishes, and I cant stand dry lips, so lipbalm is one of my favourite things to help keep my lips hydrated through the day.

And last but not least, I always like to carry some sort of fragrance in my bag, because its great to always smell gorgeous when you're out and about, the fragrance I'm loving recently is from Body Shop and it is thee water lotus. It smells beautiful, perfect for this summer, and it's travel size which makes it even more amazing, it came in a four piece set & I love all the other fragrances in the set too but this one is my all time favourite.

Thanks for reading my lovelies and I'll apologise again for not blogging so much, I will be posting a lot more, I've built up quite a few things to review so there are plenty of blog posts to come!

April Favourites | Better late than never

Now I know that I'm a little late this month but I've been busy with my new job, so I do apologise but as they say it's better late than never afterall. I've been loving quite a few things this month so it's been hard having to narrow it down into a blog post, I always struggle to do these blog posts because it's sometimes hard to actually pick just a few favourites.

In April I really enjoyed starting to read a book I got for my birthday, it is the book 'Girl Online' by Zoe Sugg. I'd been wanting this book for a while way before my birthday so I was really happy to receive it, I love the story so far, I like being able to relate to a book and I didn't have a problem connecting to the story I won't give anything away for those that haven't read it yet or are only at the beginning of the story, but I really do think it's a good book to read this spring, so grab yourself a copy!

Also this month, well it's the May copy but shhhhhh...

I bought the Vogue magazine, I used to buy it a lot a couple of months ago but sometimes certain places don't stock vogue. But I really wanted to start to put a scrap book together for this seasons and next seasons fashion trends to then share with you guys, I love making things and putting things together and I'll have a lot of spare time over the summer so I am really looking forward to building it up and showing you the end result.

This month I am really loving my Urban Decay Naked 3 eye shadow palette, it comes with 15 different pigments. I'm quite fair skinned meaning really dark colours don't exactly suit me as I have blue eyes and fair hair naturally, this palette is filled with pinks and light browns with one really dark colour which can be used for the smoke eye effect which I must admit I'm still perfecting, but in spring and summer I feel that you don't want anything too heavy on your eyes as it gets quite warm so just a stroke of eye shadow and a coat of mascara is a good alternative for the spring/summer season.

Urban Decay have two other palettes out to go with the naked 3, these are naked 2 and the naked palette, they're all around £38 for one, I picked mine up at a Debenhams store. Little bit pricy but well worth the money, mine has lasted me ages.

Definitely one of my favourites this season!

I'm really loving lip balm this spring, especially my lollibalm by benefit, just for the simple reason it makes a great alternative to wearing lipstick all the time, it can be a pain in summer to have to keep applying lipstick during the day. I have just been carrying this round in my bag, it's just super easy to whip this out and apply without a mirror, no smudging, slightly pigmented with a pale pink, also a bonus when it comes to keeping your lips hydrated!

There's probably only one thing I hate when it comes to spring and summer and that's when my hair becomes dry, now that I have blonde ombre, I want to keep it healthy so I've just been using Schwarzkopf  'got2be oil-licious' this is a tame and shine oil with extracts of argan oil, I use this daily, mostly after a shower just to put on the ends of my hair, it has really been helping as well as giving my hair a 3 minute treatment each week and laying off the hair straighteners!

It's definitely one to try and can be used on all hair types, this can be found in any drugstore for around £3-4.

I have loads and loads I could write about this month for my favourites, but it would take me forever to write just something little about each of them!

I hope that you are all enjoying spring so far, I know that I am, I have so much to look forward to in the next week and I can't wait to share it with you guys!

Thanks for reading!

Freeman Beauty Review | Feel Beautiful

I hope that you my lovely readers enjoyed your bank holiday Monday, I know that I sure did, that's because, recently I got offered some lovely products from the wonderful Freeman Beauty UK
so me and my mum decided to have a pamper day testing them, it's safe to say that I am very impressed with both the products that were enclosed.

Freeman beauty is proof that beauty can be fun, fresh, frugal and flirty!

From 1976 they've been making their beauty mark on the industry by infusing their formulas with amino acids and proteins for superior skin benefits! But they didn't stop there: Their sensational facial mask sachets, sophisticated anti-aging formulas and year round pedicure essentials have paved their way into mine and many other peoples bathing routine of skin savvy women & men worldwide.

With more than 75 products to choose from, I think it's time you find your freeman beauty fit!

The first face mask that I was offered to try was the 'Feeling beautiful Diamond mineral rinse mask' this can be used on all skin types. I'm not usually a fan of facemasks as they tend to dry out my skin but with these I didn't have a problem. I applied this on a clean face quite generously, it smells great, which is good because there's nothing worse than putting something on your face you don't like the smell of. Also, I am grateful for how much product is in one sachet, you could easy get 3 applications out of this, this is a clay mask, it felt kind of gritty on my skin but that was what is called 'Diamond Dust' which really exfoliated my skin and left it soft and smooth.

I left it on for around 5-7 minutes (the given time) my face began to feel quite tight the longer that I left it on along with a quite tingly feeling, kind of like the sensation you get with plumping lipgloss, not painful at all, then to wash off the mask I just filled the wash basin with warm water massaging the mask off my face, then patting it dry with a soft towel, I realised after that there were slight dustings of glitter remained on my skin, obviously meaning the 'Diamond minerals' which I love!

My results with the mask were instant, my skin felt soft and looked noticeably brighter, I'm very happy with this product.

The second mask enclosed was the Pineapple Facial Enzyme Mask
the smell of this was amazing,  this is an enzyme activated exfoliating mask, it contains pineapple extract, Sea kelp and alpha hydroxy acid. I followed the given instructions, this sachet would also give you a good 3 applications in my opinion.

When applying, it was cold to the skin which I think you could mistake it as a 'stinging' sensation, not at all painful, I left it on the full given time which is a bit different to the others, it is 5-10, I left it the full 10 to get maximum effect, I washed it off with warm water and repeated the same with the soft towel, patting it dry. My skin felt refreshed and very soft, the red marks round my nose had disappeared slightly and under my eyes looked a lot brighter too. I am also really impressed with this facemask.

I definitely recommend both the facemasks for anyone looking to try anything new or are just looking for the perfect pamper session products, these two are the ones to use. They are both paraben free, not tested on animals which is also a bonus,  just £1.50 for a sachet with 2 applications although I think you could get more out of one sachet, I think that's a bargin and an affordable price for anyone. The feeling beautiful face masks are currently stocked at Tesco. Another product of theirs 'Barefoot' has 7 tubes and 5 sachets in the range, these tubes are stocked at superdrug but you can find all these products at Freeman Beauty UK

I am offering you my lovely readers 20% off and free postage and packaging, just simply add 'VIP20' at the checkout.

You can connect with Freeman Beauty UK over on Facebook and on Twitter

I hope you all enjoyed reading!

Makeup Monday - Mac

Hello my lovelies,

Woke up feeling not so good today so I thought I'd do some blogging to take my mind off things, used the new family camera today and it's so goos, as you'll see in the quality of the photos today, I'll post at the bottom what type of camera it is :)

Today is Monday and I'm sure many of us have the Monday blues, as I do but you can brighten it up with a little lipstick, lipsticks are after all one of a girls best friend, today I'm wearing a Mac lipstick it's one of my favourites and it is called 'speed dial'

I bought this not so long ago and it's a colour I never thought I'd try, it's the 'cremesheen' finish and it's a pinky red colour as I'll show you below, it is the tube on the right.

Now, Mac are well known for their lipsticks, because I don't know one girl that can resist the lip counter at the Mac beauty bar, because I can't. Every time I go in I just have to have a look and try out different colours.

I don't really online shop at Mac unless I am shopping for a specific thing that I have tried before otherwise I advise you go to the shop and try it out first. Especially when shopping for a foundation etc.

The tube on the right is another Mac lipstick I own and it's called 'pervette' as it shows in the above pictures it looks pretty dark, the finish is 'glaze' and I didn't realise how light it was till I applied it, it's a shimmery and sparkly lilac kind of finish and it has to be applied a couple of times in the day to keep it looking nice, it's lasted me a good 2 months so far and there's a lot left in the tube, it's different to the other colours Mac offers, as i'm pale anyway I thought it went well with my skin tone, I use a lilac lip liner by maybeline with this colour to make my lips look a little bigger, I find it gives the best possible look you can get with the liner. I love both the colours and I'm looking at buying the shade 'Dare You' any comments are welcome.

So...

Which Mac lipsticks do you own? Which colours are the best for pale skin?

I'd really like to know as I want to take a trip back to Mac and pick up and few new things to try! Feel free to comment and leave some feedback and tips, it would be greatly appreciated!

That's all for now lipgossipers!

Love from Baloo xx

***The camera I use for photos is a 'Samsung WB1100F' has tag and go (WiFi) 35x optical zoom and even speed control! Highly recommend!***
